Looking For Alibrandi chapters 23-27

Chapter twenty three.
Nonna reveals more of her past in Australia and how she was left for four months with her only friends being Marcus. Josie starts to get a better understanding of her Nonna as she tells her side to the story. In 1950 the immigration gates had flooded and more Italians had been allowed in. Josie was trying to remember all the recent information found so she could tell her children and grandchildren so they would get a better understanding of her when they reach Josie's position.

Chapter twenty four.

Jacob and Josie meet for the first time since Adelaide and she exchanged how her holiday with Michael was. Sex is mentioned and Josie feels embarrassed so quickly changes the subject to Michael and his new girlfriend. She tells Jacob how she thinks Christina and Michael are still attached. Jacob and Josie reach her Nonna's house and she tells Jacob he can't meet her Nonna yet because of the strick Italian rules. Jacob throws a hissy-fit and walked away. The next day Josie went to his house for the first time to talk to him because she couldn't be apart from him. Josie met Jacob's father and ended up having tea with him. she went in to his room and they started to kiss and became united again. Jacob pressured her in to sex but she said no and they fought yet fixed their problems. He drove her home soon after.

Chapter twenty five.
It's Christina 's thirty fifth birthday and Josie and family celebrate it. Josie realises that Nonna had an affair with Marcus and confronts her Nonna about it and Nonna starts to cry and was in shock that Josie discovered it.  Josie thought the whole story was romantic but they reality of her mother's life brought her back to earth. she threatened her Nonna by exposing the truth if she ever made Josie visit her by herself.

Chapter twenty six.
Josie went and visited her Grandmother to get the story which made her cry and feel weak because her Grandmother dreamt like she does, and was once young.  Marcus begged her to leave Francesco and live with him but she couldn't disgrace her family and her heritage like that so she pushed Marcus and her feelings away. Francesco found out about her affair with Marcus when Nonna told him she was pregnant because he could not have babies. He lied to her and her family saying he couldn't have children.

Chapter twenty seven.
Josie and John meet at her cousins soccer match and they spend the day together talking and gettign acquainted. She called Jacob that night and was on the phone to him for two hours and told him everything about being with John for the day which he didn't seem to mind. Josie is happy with where her life is heading at this point in time.
